Well, it took a few days, but the Phillies finally squeaked out a win for interim manager Ryne Sandberg. The 3-5 win over the Dodgers ended yet another long losing streak for the Phils who are now solidly in 4th place in the NL East, 2.5 games behind the Mets for 3rd place.

So I missed yesterday’s historic win to put the Dodgers 42-8 in their last 50 games, but more importantly (apparently), I missed Juan Uribe’s homer and the dugout shenanigans afterwards.
Uribe did this:

Which led to Puig and Hanley Ramirez doing … uh … whatever this is:
Which led to Hanley reminding Uribe that he’s King...
Hanley Ramirez returned on Wednesday from a shoulder injury that kept him out of the lineup for over a week.
Ramirez jammed his shoulder against the Cubs on Aug. 4, and has been limited to one pinch hitting opportunity in the past nine games. He struck out. Nick Punto (six starts) and Dee Gordon (three games) did admirable work filling in for Ramirez, especially at the plate. That...

Among the Phillies many problems in 2013 are errors, especially on the infield. But it was the Dodgers' shortstop that gave away the game on Sunday. Hanley Ramirez was responsible for the two runs that counted in Friday's shutout win for LA. In the ninth inning on Sunday, an error...
