The Philadelphia Phillies and the Cincinnati Reds game from Tuesday night was postponed, and finished on Wednesday. Kyle Kendrick pitched 7 scoreless innings, allowing just 2 hits, 2 walks, 4 strikeouts. Tuesday night's game was an absolute pitchers duel between Kendrick and Homer Bailey, as Bailey went 8 innings allowing 2 hits, 10Ks.
The continued game began on Wednesday at 5:30pm, and took only 9 minutes for Cincinnati to end it. Jay Bruce knocked in the winning run, as he singled to right field with the base loaded. The Reds stormed the Phillies in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game infront of their home crowd. Reds announcer said it best, "four batters come to the plate, all four reach base."
