With last night's victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks the Phillies decreased their magic number by one. The Florida Marlins won their game so the magic number entering action Wednesday is 41.

Current Phillies manager, and only the second World Series winning manager in franchise history, Charlie Manuel watches his team lower the magic number one game at a time.
