The Phillies look to get their first four game winning streak of the season today against the Cleveland Indians in the final game of the two game series. Yesterday the Phillies received another quality start from rookie  pitcher Jonathon Pettibone. Pettibone gave up two runs scattering four hits over 6 2/3 innings, walking 2 and striking out 3. Giving the offensive boast, Dom Brown and Kevin Frandsen both hitting home runs. After replacing Halladay in the rotation Pettibone has been a great and much-needed surprise for the Phillies. In three starts Pettibone is 3-0 with a 3.41 era. The win yesterday puts the Phillies 3.5 games back of the first place Braves. Cole Hamels will be on the mound today looking to get his second victory of the season.Similar Posts: Phillies continue homestand with win behind Pettibone Big win for Phillies and the truth told of that 9th inning Let the season begin, Phillies opening day hope Phillies waste Lee’s effort, lose to Reds Staff Ace Cliff Lee shuts down Mets
