The Philadelphia Phillies have released Kris Benson. Benson, 32, was 1-4 with a 5.52 ERA in 11 starts for Triple-A Lehigh Valley. He did not pitch at all for the Phillies in 2008, after being signed in February.

  • hahaha I said from the onset that this was a stupid signing. He has absolutely nothing left and they gave him an ENTIRE season to prove it. Another dumb move by Gillick, can't wait til you step down at the end of the season!
