David Murphy reports the Phillies have released Scott Nestor. The right-hander gave up 10 earned runs in five innings for AAA Lehigh Valley and AA Reading this season. This ironically comes on the same day as the Phils are burned by Wes Helms, who was once rumored in a deal involving Nestor.
