Mark Prior was the league's top draft pick in 2001, but more than eight years later, he's obviously not the anchor of the Cubs' rotation. No, that honor would fall to rookie Randy Wells, the 38th-round draft pick in 2002 and previously a minor league mainstay. On Thursday, Wells moved to 8-4 with a 2.73 ERA by virtue of seven scoreless innings in a 4-2 win over Cincinnati, drawing even more attention to his season in the process. Here's what he said after the game, via the Chicago Tribune: "I don't want the hype at all. I could care less if anybody recognizes me or if anyone knew who I was. As long as I can go out there every fifth day and can pitch, that's enough for me."I love being here. I love everything about it — the charter flights, the camaraderie of the team. I can stay under the radar as long as I want to, but the reality of it is it's not going to happen. You start winning games, and guys are going to start gunning for you."...
