Fox Sports Wisconsin:
MILWAUKEE -- It looked like the Milwaukee Brewers might be in a little trouble with two Dodgers on base and no outs in the second inning Monday, but one quick play was all it took to end the inning. The Brewers infield turned the sixth triple play in franchise history with an official scoring of 4-6-3-2. Second baseman Josh Wilson started it all by fielding a groundball to his right and flipping it from his glove to shortstop Yuniesky Betancourt for the first out.Betancourt easily got James Loney at first base, but Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp made a break for home. Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder fired a perfect throw to catcher George Kottaras to save the run and complete the triple play.It was the team's first triple play since Sept. 6, 2009, a 5-4-3 against the Giants at Miller Park, and the second in the majors this season. The Cleveland Indians recorded a triple play on April 3 against the Chicago White Sox.According to the Society for American Baseball Research's triple play archive, the last 4-6-3-2 triple play to occur in the majors was pulled off by the now defunct Montreal Expos against the San Diego Padres on June 13, 1973.
