The Pirates are the only MLB team without a home run this season. I could easily delve into all kinds of other stats to tell you how miserable the offense has been, but I’m going to stick with that simple one and keep track of these things daily until they finally hit a Bucco Blast. Games without a home run: 5 At-bats without a home run: 145 2012 National League AB/HR rate: 36.1 Number of home runs so far this year in MLB: 159 (roughly 5.5 per team, excluding the Pirates) Team(s) with the next-fewest home runs: Royals and Padres, both with just 1 Number of players with at least one home run so far this year: 112 Number of pitchers with a home run so far this year: 2 Number of days since the last Pirates regular season home run (hit by Garrett Jones on 10/2/2012): 187 That’s all I can think of for now, feel free to add on in the comments… Thanks to @JayRoe19 for the idea.
