How do you top a home invasion by a gun-wielding, bulletproof vest-wearing Anna Benson in terms of sensationalism? You allegedly have a few too many drinks in Las Vegas and wander into a hospital.
THE HANGOVER 4
San Francisco Giants righthander Chad Gaudin had a night to forget about - literally -- in January, but the police obviously remember. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Gaudin was charged with open and gross lewdness earlier this month for an absolutely bizarre incident in Sin City six months ago.
Gaudin, who is married, somehow ended up at Desert Springs Hospital, several miles from the Las Vegas strip. Once there, he allegedly groped a 23-year-old woman who was on a gurney. Gaudin, described in the police report as appearing to be drunk, ignored warnings from the hospital security to leave the woman alone and had to be restrained until police arrived.
In a statement released Wednesday, Gaudin's lawyer claims his client "was examined in the emergency room o...
BEST OF MAXIM
So, Chad Gaudin had himself quite a night in Vegas earlier this year.
The Giants pitcher is charged with open and gross lewdness, a misdemeanor, after he was arrested back in January for allegedly groping a woman in an ER lobby.
It’s a story that’s just downright bizarre and creepy.
Police say it all went down at 4:30 a.m. at the Desert Springs Hospital three miles off the...
What do I think of the Giants signing Jeff Francoeur?
I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t see it having a major impact. I was wrong, after all, about Pat Burrell.
Francoeur has had a lot of bad years and only one good one over the last half-decade or so. He’s decent against left-handed pitching only. He’s got mediocre defense. I don’t see him catching the Giants magic...
The sight of the bullpen warming up is not something Matt Cain is used to in the first inning of a game, but that's exactly what happened on Wednesday night against the New York Mets. A short time later, following John Buck's two-run single, San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy pulled Cain for Mike Kickham after just 36 pitches. Cain told Tim Kawakami of the San Jose...
It didn't take long for Kensuke Tanaka to make a big impression during his MLB debut Tuesday night.
The San Francisco Giants leftfielder also left a little mark on the left field wall after robbing the New York Mets' Andrew Brown of hit in the second-inning with this spectacular catch.

The San Francisco Giants have optioned left-handed pitcher Mike Kickham to Triple-A Fresno. The young lefty did not make an appearance during his latest call up back on Tuesday. He rejoins Fresno’s rotation and should get another chance later in the summer to showcase his talents at the big league level.

Man, from these fans, you’d never know the Giants had won 2 World Series titles in 3 years…
From the SB Nation San Francisco Giants blog McCovey Chronicles
“I’ve been praying and praying for Jeff Francoeur to save the Giants I’m anticipating a 30 game winning streak starting tonight!”
“Mostly, having to do with Jeff Francoeur’s stupidly spelled name. I officially...
It’s no secret that the San Francisco Giants are in the midst of a brutal slump. The club has only won three out of its last fifteen games. This includes dropping five straight series dating back to June 20th against the lowly Miami Marlins. The rotation has been in shambles all season and now the offense is struggling as well. Other than Buster Posey, the heart of the lineup has...
Oakland fans have had to wait a long time for days like this. As anyone familiar with Bay Area baseball will surely know, the San Francisco Giants have won two out of the last three World Series Championships. For too long now Oakland fans have seen throngs of new Giants fans delivered by the week, but as Bob Dylan might say the times they are a changing. The Oakland Athletics have...
It’s come to this for the beleaguered Giants. Signing a player that not even the Kansas City Royals wanted.
The Giants and outfielder Jeff Francoeur agreed to a minor-league contract. The team hopes he can give the slumping outfield some kind of boost eventually. Easier said than done. He was DFA’ed by the Royals last month after hitting .208 with 3 homers and 13 RBI in 59 games...
Wait, the Giants won?
Does that mean we’ve passed Rock Bottom?
Actually, I didn’t ask that. Don’t want to jinx anything. Sorry, Baseball Gods!
What originally looked like an evenly-matched game escalated quickly as the San Francisco Giants fell once more to the New York Mets 10-6 on Tuesday night. Marlon Byrd knocked any hope of either extra-innings or a Giants win out of the park with a grand slam in the eighth inning.
Jeremy Affeldt, whose three earned runs scored on Byrd’s slam, was grasping at straws. “It stinks...

All-Star Buster Posey drove in a season-high five runs and Chad Gaudin and three relievers combined on a five-hitter, leading the San Francisco Giants to a 10-1 victory against the San Diego Padres on Friday night.
Posey's two-run double highlighted San Francisco's five-run seventh inning, when Padres manager Bud Black was ejected for arguing an obstruction call during a...
