According to Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe and MLB Trade Rumors, we should not be surprised if any of these names end up in Philly. Vladimir Guerrero, Xavier Nady, Magglio Ordonez, or Manny Ramirez. As MLBTR points out, the Phillies want a right-handed bat who can pinch hit and play in the outfield when needed.
The problem is that the Phillies are nearing that luxury tax that they're desperately trying to avoid.
Cafardo points out that the Phillies are still looking for a left-handed reliever, and Mike Gonzalez would be a great addition. Once again, the issue is money.
