The Dodgers greeting a tired Tim Lincecum today almost as rudely as they did Brad Penny yesterday, combined with another Rockies win, has effectively killed San Francisco's playoff chances. Today's offensive heroes are all-of-a-sudden-but-not-really MVP candidate Andre Ethier (with a two-run homer, his 31st, in the third inning) and Marlon Anderson Ronnie Belliard (with a two-run single in the fourth). Randy Wolf gets his 11th win with six innings of two-run ball, the Kevorkian committee (Hong-Chih Kuo in the seventh, George Sherrill in the eighth and Jonathan Broxton in the ninth) puts the Giants down and keeps them there.
