After back to back miserable losses, the Mets will take the field to conclude their 2 game series against the Cincinnati Reds. On Tuesday, the Mets were blown out by the Brewers by a score of 8-0 which included a minor controversy with Terry Collins pulling David Wright. The next night, the Mets had a lead entering the 8th inning which was blown by D.J. Carrasco who would be Designated for Assignment after the game.
Today’s matchup features Mat Latos (2-2 4.54 ERA) vs. R.A. Dickey (5-1 3.65 ERA). Latos was acquired in the offseason by the Reds from San Diego in a deal that sent Edinson Volquez and Yonder Alonso to the Padres.
