Right-hander Jhoulys Chacin returns to the majors for the first time since May when the Colorado Rockies visit the New York Mets in the second of four games at Citi Field.
A 24-year-old Venezuelan, Chacin was 0-3 in five starts to begin the season before being placed on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation on May 2.
The DL trip came a day after Chacin's third loss, in which he was roughed up for 11 hits and seven runs in just 4 2/3 innings of a 7-6 loss to Los Angeles.
In 24 2/3 innings across five outings, he's allowed 20 runs on 31 hits and walked 15 batters, while surrendering a .304 opposition batting average.

Was Chris Young really perfect through five innings, or was I just imagining things? Young struck out the first four batters of the game and didn’t allow any baserunners until the top of the sixth, when D.J. LeMahieu rolled an infield single up the middle.
