He combined for seven earned runs in ten innings in those starts, but looked good tonight. On the season with Bradenton he has a 2.83 ERA in 60.1 innings, with a 38:17 K/BB ratio. He also has a 2.17 GO/AO ratio thanks to his two-seamer and sinker. Elias Diaz has been hot at the plate lately, hitting for a .481/.517/.519 line in 27 at-bats in the month of August. In his last ten games he has seven multi-hit games. Stetson Allie has hits in five of his last six games, and has drawn five walks in that span.   Josh Bell hit his 12th homer of the year. Jimmy Rider also hit a homer, his first of the year. Walker Gourley drew two walks and stole two bases, giving him 34 stolen bases on the season. Jason Creasy now has a 2.45 ERA in 58.2 innings as a starter, with a 53:17 K/BB ratio. Ryan Hafner has a 2.85 ERA in 82 innings out of the bullpen this year, with a 97:39 K/BB ratio.   A-: JAMESTOWN JAMMERS Box Score Result: Jamestown 3, Mahoning Valley 1 Starting Pitcher: Shane Carle, RHP (2.15) – 3.2 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 4 K, 1 HR Top Hitter: Adam Landecker, 3B (.286) – 2-for-4, RBI, 2 SB Other Notable Performers: Candon Myles, LF (.200) – 0-for-2, 3 BB, 2 SB Harold Ramirez, CF (.298) – 1-for-4, BB Game Notes: Shane Carle has a 2.15 ERA in 50.1 innings on the season, with a 43:6 K/BB ratio. Candon Myles and Adam Landecker recently joined Jamestown, being promoted from the GCL. Both players combined for four stolen bases tonight. They’re both lower level organizational guys, but should help the first place Jammers in their playoff push. Myles is a great OBP guy with a lot of speed, while Landecker has excellent defense at third base.   RK: GCL PIRATES Box Score Result: Pirates 11, Tigers 1 Starting Pitcher: Wei-Chung Wang, LHP (3.53) – 4.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 4 K, 0 HR Top Hitter: Nick Buckner, RF (.222) – 2-for-4, 2B, HR, 5 RBI, BB Other Notable Performers: Ulises Montilla, 2B (.300) – 4-for-5, 2B, 2 RBI Enyel Vallejo, LF (.296) – 2-for-5, 4 RBI Game Notes: The GCL Pirates had a big win over the Tigers, moving into a first place tie with the GCL Phillies. Nick Buckner hit his first pro home run, and also hit his seventh double of the year. Buckner has been showing his power lately, with a .223 ISO in his last ten games, thanks to three doubles, a triple, and a homer. Ulises Montilla picked up four hits tonight, and is 11-for-28 in his last seven games. This was the first four hit game of the season for Montilla, although he has three separate three hit games. Enyel Vallejo extended his hitting streak to seven games, and now has a .326/.341/.512 line in 43 at-bats in August.
