Heading into the MLB offseason, former NL MVP Cody Bellinger was thought of as one of the top free agents available. A few months later, he decided that he was happy right where he was. On Sunday, it was reported that Bellinger and the Chicago Cubs agreed on a three-year, $80 million contract. Furthermore, it's a player-friendly deal, one that gives the 28-year-old Bellinger the ability to opt out after both the 2024 and 2025 seasons. For the Cubs, they get to bring back their best offensive player from the 2023 season without having to break the bank as they try to make it back to the postseason, something they've done just once over the last five years.
Which brings us to today's quiz of the day. In MLB history, 31 players, including Bellinger, have earned both Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player honors over the course of their careers. So with that in mind, how many can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
