The Washington Nationals are in a bit of a slump, and team camaraderie typically isn’t great when a team is losing. Following their fourth loss in as many games, closer Rafael Soriano didn’t want to take any responsibility for failing to get the final out in the ninth inning. The Nats held a 2-1 lead in the bottom half of the ninth inning, and were one strike away from earning Stephen Strasburg just his third win of the season, when Soriano gave up a game-tying triple to Gregor Blanco. Pablo Sandoval would give the Giants a walk-off win in the 10th with a two-run shot. The Nats are now at .500 and stand 4.5 games back of the Braves in the NL East, a division that many picked them to win for the second-straight year. Soriano was quite upset following the loss, and was not happy with teammate Bryce Harper’s defensive positioning that led to the tying run, since the ball went over his head.
