Ramirez, who signed a minor-league deal with the Rangers Wednesday, was in Round Rock working out with the Triple-A Express Thursday and showed off his new haircut. His trademark long dreadlocks are no more as he cut them to comply with the organization's rules for minor leaguers. The Express are hosting Omaha in a 7:05 p.m. game at Dell Diamond. Sunday's game will mark the first for Ramirez for a major-league organization since he played 17 games last year for Oakland's Triple A team. He was granted his release from Sacramento last June 15. Ramirez, 41, signed with the Rangers after leaving Taiwan last month. He hit .352 with eight home runs and 43 RBIS for the EDA Rhinos of the Chinese Professional Baseball League. Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said signing Ramirez was a no-risk move for the club. If he plays well for Round Rock and can help the R...
