The Texas Rangers acquired utility infielder Nick Green and cash from the Baltimore Orioles for lefthander Zach Phillips on Tuesday.
Green was promptly assigned to Triple-A Round Rock. The 32-year-old was hitting .208 with 10 homers and 46 RBIs for Triple-A Norfolk this season.
He has played with seven teams during his major-league career.
Phillips, 24, is 1-3 with a 4.43 ERA in 33 relief appearances for Round Rock this season.
