The Texas Rangers have acquired left-handed reliever Mike Gonzalez from the Baltimore Orioles for a player to be named. The deal was announced Wednesday. Gonzalez is 2-2 with one save and a 4.27 ERA in 49 games. But he's been impressive lately, allowing five hits and one walk with 15 strikeouts over 13 straight scoreless appearances. Gonzalez is the second reliever the Rangers have gotten in a trade with Baltimore this season. Texas got right-hander Koji Uehara for first baseman Chris Davis and pitcher Tommy Hunter on July 30. To fill out the 25-man roster, the Orioles recalled left-hander Zach Phillips from Triple-A Norfolk. Phillips was acquired on July 19 from Texas for minor leaguer infielder Nick Green and cash.
