Oh goody, here's some press release goodness. The Rangers made a bunch of moves on people behind the scenes today, mostly in scouting and player development. The good news: Richard "Hoggie" Price was named the new Rangers equipment manager. This is good news because Price has been a Rangers employee for the last 34 years, working most recently as the umpires room attendant. Nice to see someone rewarded for long and meritorious service. You won't see the other guys as much and hear from them even less. That's how scouts work, under the radar and in stealth-like fashion. The other news today: To no one's surprise RHP Scott Feldman was named the Rangers Pitcher of the Year by the local Baseball Writers Association of America chapter for his outstanding season. Feldman went 17-8 with a 4.08 ERA. The only real competition he had would have come from LHP C.J. Wilson, but Wilson pitched in so many different roles, it was difficult to fully appreciate his seas...
