The 2011 World Series usually brings us unlikely heroes, as the obscure names become household. Darrell Porter or Geoff Blum anyone? Former California Angels (I’m not in the mood for that L.A. of Los Angeles crap right now) catcher Mike Napoli has found stardom with the Texas Rangers as he’s terrorized St. Louis Cardinals pitching to the tune of two HRs and nine RBI.
He also pretty much won game five all by himself. And with that fame comes the perks. Or should I say extreme perkiness.
