Josh Hamilton hit a Craig Breslow (2-2) pitch for a two-run home run and a 9-7 Angels walk-off win in the bottom of the 11th.

With the game in hand in the bottom of the ninth 7-3, Red Sox reliever Alex Wilson loaded the bases and Sox closer Koji Uehara gave it up. The tying run scored on Brandon Synder's two-out error when he overthrew second baseman Dustin Pedroia on a routine play that should have ended the game.
Snyder said he wanted to underhand the ball to Pedroia but realized he was too far away, "I promise you there is not a worse feeling."
Manager John Farrell said after the game, "This is a tough one to lose tonight."
