Bang head here

Dammit. Dammit. Dammit.  Robert Andino hits a bases clearing triple off of Jonathan Papelbon as the Sox blow another winnable game, 7-5.

Adrian Gonzalez started the scoring early as he doubled off of Rick VandenHurk in the first, scoring Dustin Pedroia.

The Orioles But after that, it looked like it was going to be another long night. In the third when Josh Reddick misplayed a Vlad Guerrero line drive that popped in and out of his glove which could've ended the inning instead it leads to a four run outburst and the end of Erik Bedard's night. It unraveled fast for Bedard as he couldn't catch a break after that error.

The Sox showed some fight right after as Adrian Gonzalez hit one into the Monster seats for his 27th home run of the year. Then in the bottom of the fourth Mike Aviles had himself an RBI single to tie the game. After a Jacoby Ellsbury single to load the bases, Pedroia struck out in three pitches and Adrian hit into what appeared to be an inning ending double play but Mark Reynolds couldn't hold on to the ball and Aviles scored from second.

The Sox had some strong performances out of the bullpen: Scott Atchison went 2 1/3 inning allowing three hits. Matt Albers is still making the O's front office kick themselves for waiving him: in 20 plate appearences, the O's are 0-for-18 against him with a BB, a HBP, and 10 Ks. (thanks to WEEI's Alex Speier for that one).

Even Daniel Bard had a strong seventh inning but got into  trouble in the eighth, allowing a couple of base hits. Papelbon came in and struck out Chris Davis. From here on, it goes downhill.

Nolan Reimold(THE NO. 9 HITTER!) gets a base hit to load the bases for Andino... whose bases clearing double made every Red Sox fan want to ram their head into a wall. He went 3-for-5 tonight.

The Yankees beat the Rays so the Sox lead remains at two games. Damn it all.
