Asdrubal Cabrera had the worst game of his major league career Sunday, committing three errors that led to eight unearned runs and also getting reprimanded by his manager for not running hard to first base.

The Cleveland Indians shortstop had one of the best games of his career Tuesday.

Cabrera clubbed a walk-off, two-run home run with one out in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift the Indians to a 3-2 victory over the Cincinnati Reds. Cabrera's homer came off intimidating Reds closer Aroldis Chapman. Cleveland manager Manny Acta called it "a very emotional win."

It certainly was for Cabrera, who followed a one-out single from Shin-Soo Choo with an opposite-field blast, over the right field wall, to end the game. Cabrera was the hitter in that situation only because of a lineup change Acta made a couple of weeks ago.

Cabrera had been hitting in the third spot in the order for most of the first two months of the season. Choo hit leadoff, Jason Kipnis hit second, and Cabrera third. Choo and Kipnis are left-handed hitters, while Cabrera is a switch hitter.

Acta eventually decided to flip-flop Cabrera and Kipnis. Cabrera went up to No. 2, and Kipnis went down to No. 3. Acta explained his reasoning was that when left-handed relievers come into games, with Cabrera hitting second, it put a right-handed hitter between the two left-handers.

That's the way it played out, in dramatic fashion, vs. Chapman, a left-handed, on Tuesday. After Choo singled, it brought up the switch-hitting Cabrera, batting right-handed, instead of the left-handed-hitting Kipnis. Cabrera came into the game hitting .324 as a right-handed batter and .288 as a left-handed batter.

For one night, anyway, it all worked out in favor of Acta's tweak to the lineup.
