Mike Lowell may be out of the picture this time, but the Red Sox have finally obtained Rangers catcher Max Ramirez. The team has announced that they've claimed Ramirez, a 26-year-old catcher, off of waivers. Ramirez, of course, was all but traded to Boston for Lowell prior to the 2010 season. That deal fell through over Texas' concerns about Lowell's nagging injuries, and the veteran third baseman ended his career in Boston, retiring following the season.
