Just one day after the conclusion of the 2012 MLB season that saw the Giants sweep the Tigers in stunning fashion, the sports-betting website Bovada has released their 2013 World Series lines. The Red Sox, fresh off signing manager John Farrell, will enter the season -- for now anyways -- at 22-1 odds to win the fall classic. They share the same odds with the cinderella Athletics, who were knocked out of the ALDS by Detroit following a stunning ascent to the AL West crown on the last day of the regular season. Boston is currently without a designated hitter, first baseman, shortstop, left fielder and right fielder. They also need to fill a couple of spots in the pitching rotation prior to the 2013 season. Before placing those bets, fans must heed the upcoming offseason for Boston, and the talent that general manager Ben Cherington brings to this team. The Giants will enter 2013 at 10-1 odds to repeat as champions, seeking to become the first team to do so since the dominant Yankees teams of the late 1990's. Speaking of New York, the Bronx Bombers are 7-1 favorites to win the title.
