According to a report from the New York Daily News, The New York Yankees expect their All-Star third baseman, Alex Rodriguez to return to the lineup today against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Rodriguez fractured a bone in his right hand back on July 24th in a game against the Seattle Mariners.
The report indicated that Rodriguez had good workouts for Class-A Tampa over the weekend and all indications are that he will play early this week if not this afternoon.
The Yankees and his fantasy owners could use the help; Rodriguez is batting .276/.358/.449 with 15 home runs and 44 RBI in 352 at bats this season.
