Report: Mets, Perez getting closer to agreement

FoxSports Ken Rosenthal says the Mets still have a three-year deal on the table for lefthander Oliver Perez, but the club may need to kick in a fourth-year vesting option. Perez, 27, went 10-7 with a 4.22 ERA (180/105 K/BB ratio) in 34 starts last season. Rosenthal adds there are no apparent suitors for Perez other than the Mets.
