Old friend Casey Fossum can be added to the growing list of left-handed relievers to sign with the Mets this offseason, according to Adam Rubin of ESPN.com. The former Red Sox first-round supplemental selection (48th overall) will compete for a spot in the pen with Taylor Tankersley, Tim Byrdak and Mike O'Conner. Now 33, Fossum pitched for the Hanshin Tigers in Japan last season and previously made three appearances with the Mets in 2009.
