Mike Napoli is taking the free agent tour around the major leagues. A catcher for the Rangers since 2011, the seven-year veteran has been pursued by several teams this offseason. The Red Sox and Mariners are reportedly the two clubs most interested, with Napoli saying he’s willing to make a move to first base if that’s what his new team wants. Napoli was reportedly in Boston over the weekend to hear from the Red Sox, who would most likely use him at first base. But now he’s returning to Texas to hear what the Rangers have to say, according to ESPN. Napoli said earlier this year that he would like to remain with the Rangers but wanted to hear what other teams had to offer. He is reportedly looking for a team that will give him a four-year deal. Napoli hit just .227 with 56 RBIs last season, but he did have 24 home runs in the 108 games he played. The down year followed a scorching 2011, where he went .320 with 30 home runs and 75 RBIs as the Rangers went to the World Series. Click here to read why Napoli makes sense for the Red Sox>>
