The daughter of Major League Baseball umpire Jerry Meals told ESPN that her father and family have been "harrassed" after he made an admittedly wrong call which resulted in the Atlanta Braves posting a 4-3 win in 19 innings over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Major League Baseball's security division is investigating apparent threats to the Meals' family - including both phone calls and people showing up at the home, according to ESPN's Amy K. Nelson. Early Wednesday morning, Meals ruled that Pittsburgh catcher Mike McKenry failed to tag Atlanta's Julio Lugo, allowing the latter to score the winning run. Replays clearly showed McKenry did precisely that.
