It appears Zack Greinke will be staying in Los Angeles when the 2013 MLB season begins, but the right-hander will not be pitching for the Angels. Tim Brown of Yahoo! Sports is reporting the Dodgers will most likely land the most prized pitcher on the free-agent market this offseason. Greinke pitched for both the Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim last season and combined for a 15-5 record, a 3.46 ERA and 200 strikeouts. He has shown success pitching in both the American and National League in his career and earned a Cy Young award in 2009 while pitching for the Kansas City Royals. Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times later reported on the deal, including the length and amount Greinke would receive in the deal. Since he is the No. 1 pitcher on the free-agent market this offseason, many believe he will take home a seven-year deal worth around $161 million. If Greinke indeed signs with the Dodgers, he will join a staff that already includes Clayton Kershaw, Chris Capuano, Aaron Harang and Chad Billingsley.
