Michigan head coach Rich Rodriguez hasn't had the best of starts with the Wolverines during his first two years in Ann Arbor, but the man is a football genius who has a way with words.Just last night, he told the media that the NCAA investigation into his program was sort of like Hurricane Katrina, which devastated the city of New Orleans in 2005. His ability to so wonderfully analogize the situation with a news event piqued the interest of the SSB News Team, so we were able to convince Rodriguez to break down this year's Rose Bowl between Oregon and Ohio State.
We gave Rich-Rod a few key names on the Ducks and Bucks, and he gave us his tremendous insight.
On OSU quarterback Terrelle Pryor: "Tough to defend. Not the greatest thrower, but he runs like a slave who is being chased by his master after getting caught having sex with a white woman."
On Oregon's offense: "So potent. They have more weapons than a group of Puerto Ricans."
On OSU's defense: "Tough, physical, fast. They've brought more devastation to their opponents than the Nazis brought to the Jews during WWII."
On Oregon QB Jeremiah Masoli: "A genuine double threat. Working out of the spread, the Buckeyes need to contain him like the Japanese-Americans in those internment camps."
On Oregon RB LeGarrette Blount: "What a trying season for this kid. He's been locked away and punished much like the way Jaycee Dugard was. But against Oregon State, he was running through defenders like those planes went through the Twin Towers on 9/11."
On how OSU wins: "Containing Oregon on first down is key, otherwise they might get abused like a battered wife."
On how Oregon wins: "Keep spreading things out, much like the way a child rapist would his victim, and everything will take care of itself."
Who wins: "I think OSU can pull off the surprise, much like the way the Japanese did at Pearl Harbor."
