Rich Thompson is really pitching solid baseball this year for the Los Angeles Angels

27-year old righty reliever Rich Thompson has been really solid for the Angels so far this year. He has pitched in 30 games (0 starts) for the Angels so far this year and he is 1-3 with a 2.87 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP. He has only given up 31 hits in his first 37 2/3 innings with 42 whiffs as he has been downright nasty. The only problem with Thompson so far this year is that his control is sometime off as he has walked 15 batters. That is nitpicking though as Thompson has pitched well overall this year.
