Rick Ankiel just about killed himself last night

Rick Ankiel is a long way from the pitcher he used to be. Pitchers don't go crashing full-bore into the outfield wall with their heads. Good lord, he hit that wall hard. Nice of the umps to give him the mercy out on the call too, even though he dropped the ball. X-Rays and CT scan taken of his head, neck and back revealed no breaks or fractures, though he was kept overnight for observation. Phew.
