When the Mets and Yankees open the second half of their Subway Series in the Bronx tonight, Roger Clemens will toe the rubber for the Bombers and make his best attempt at befuddling and frustrating his Amazin' opposition. But it was not very long ago that the Rocket inspired much stronger sentiments than frustration in the Mets and their fanbase, and all it took was one 92-mph fastball of the head of Mike Piazza to do it. Amazingly, it's been nearly seven years since that night of July 8, 2000 at Yankee Stadium. In today's Newsday, David Lennon catches up with Piazza and former Mets teammate Todd Zeile in order to discuss the rivalry, seven years later.
