The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that in the event the Atlanta Braves and Colorado Rockies end up with the same record, the one-game playoff to determine the National League wild card will be hosted by the Braves, thanks to their better record against opponents in their division.
The first tie-breaker is head-to-head results, but the teams split their eight games this season. If needed, the Oct. 5 playoff will be a night game at Turner Field, an accommodation to the Rockies, who would have to fly to Atlanta from Los Angeles after their final regular-season game against the Dodgers.
The NL Division Series opener would then be played on Oct. 7.
