DETROIT | Royals manager Trey Hillman calls it “mixing and matching” in explaining why Josh Anderson, the speedy outfielder acquired July 30 from Detroit, wasn’t in the starting lineup Saturday for a third straight game. “We’ll get him back in,” Hillman said. “We still want to see what we’ve got. But it’s still going to be a matter of trying to win ballgames by mixing and matching with what we think is going to be the best lineup for us to win.”
