The Trenton Titans knew they would have a fight on their hands again.

For the third straight night, the Titans and Royals would face either other. And the arch rivals are very familiar with each other, as all three games were decided by one goal.
Unfortunately for the Titans, they lost the last two of the three game in the three game set. Last night, the Royals were able to defeat the Titans, 3-2, at the Sun National Bank Center.
Out of the 6 possible points that were available, the Titans came away with just two points. The Royals were able to get 4 of the 6 points.
On Thursday night, the Titans were the first team to beat the Royals in the entire month of December. Then, they bounced back for wins on Friday and Saturday that caused the Royals to go 10-1 this month.
It took a three goal third period for the Royals to overcome the Titans. Yannick Tifu scored an unassisted goal with less than five miunutes left for the lead.
Tifu leads the Royals with the most points against the Titans this season. The goal was his fifth against the Titans thus far.
Ian O’Connor tied the game at 2 apiece for the Royals with 12 minutes left. Three minutes earlier, Royals Denny Urban scored to make it 2-1.
The Royals only took nine shots in the third period, with one third of those shots going in the back of the net. At the end of the game, the Royals outshot the Titans 40-25.
There was no scoring in the second period.
In the first period, Stephen Schultz scored two goals within the first three minutes. Schultz scored his second goal just two minutes and 41 seconds into the game.
Schultz also added a goal just 16 seconds into the game.
Philipe Grubauer picked up the win for the Royals. He made 23 saves in 60 minutes.
His counter part, Scott Wedgewood picked up the loss for the Titans. He made 37 saves in 60 minutes.

Royals Agree On One-Year Deal With Endy Chavez
The Kansas City Royals have signed former Met outfielder Endy Chavez to a one-year contract, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports. Terms of the deal have not yet been reported.
