The Philadelphia Phillies have had trouble keeping their middle infielders healthy and have expressed interest in the Yankees’ Ramiro Pena, according to George King of the NY Post.

Chase Utley is expected to start the season on the DL. If the Yankees did make a trade and send Pena to Philly he wouldn’t fetch anybody of much value. The best that could be hoped for would be a solid middle reliever or a long shot prospect in the lower levels of their system.
