What took the beloved Mets center fielder nine sesons to compile, Jose Reyes has dismantled in four full and two partial seasons. Earlier this year Reyes surpassed Wilson with 63 triples and tonight broke Wilson record for steals with his 282 and 283 stolen bases. When the season began, Wilson ranked first in triples and stolen bases in club history. Now he has been displaced in each category by Reyes. The Mets shortstop put his career triples total at 63, one more than Wilson's, on July 20 in Cincinnati. And Reyes sprinted past Wilson in stolen bases on Wednesday night in the Mets' game against the Nationals. source MLB.com
