The Clippers finished their series with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders in the middle of the week taking three-of-four games to capture the series. The Clippers then traveled to Rhode Island to take on the Pawtucket Red Sox for a three-game series. The Clippers took two of the three games against the Red Sox winning both by a score of 6-5. The Clippers have scored five runs or less in 20 games this season. They are 5-0 when scoring more than five runs.
The best news from the week was the recovery of right-handed pitcher Carlos Carrasco who was hit by a line drive on April 25 against the RailRiders. Carrasco made a speedy recovery and wound up starting April 30 against the Red Sox.
The Clippers now head home to the capital city to take on the Rochester Redwings and Charlotte Knights in back-to-back four-game series starting tonight.
