San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey has been the best player in all of baseball the past month showcasing his talents with the bat and arm since the All-Star break.

Posey is batting .449 in the second half with 44 hits, seven doubles, nine homers, 33 RBI's and walked 17 times. He is producing a .521 on-base percentage and incredible .796 slugging percentage totaling a ridiculous 1.317 OPS ( on-base plus slugging).

Not only is Posey showing off skills with the bat, his impact is felt behind the plate calling great games for the pitching staff. Since the break, the Giants rank fifth in the National League with a 3.39 ERA, 17 wins tied for fourth and third with 234 strikeouts. Defensively, Posey is tied for fifth in all of baseball throwing out 23 runners attempting to steal.

Posey's numbers on the year rank up well with the rest of the catchers in baseball. His .332 average ranks second, 123 hits tied for first, fourth with 23 doubles, 76 RBI"s good for first and third with 19 homers.

His .406 on-base percentage is second and has the third best slugging percentage .547 totaling a .953 OPS good for second.

Posey has officially recovered from his season-ending injury a year ago limiting him to 45 games. He has played in 104 games and looks to continue his remarkable play the rest of August and September.

The scary notion that should excite Giants fans is the best of Posey is still yet to come. In 2010 he was really good, 2012 great and future years look for him to be mentioned with the all-time great catchers getting even better.
