Ervin Santana may be the hottest pitcher in baseball. Since the all-start break, Santana has gone 4-0 with a 1.12 ERA. He is just dominating opponents. He did that today against Seattle. The Mariners hit the ball hard at times, but Santana never allowed them to bunch any of the hits together. Only twice on Sunday did Santana allow the Mariners back to back base runners. The one time the M’s did threaten was in the 3rd, and Santana was the one who made the key play to get Kyle Seager at the plate. I have never seen him this dominant at any point in his career. He sure appears to have a great working relationship with catcher Bobby Wilson, as well. I remember working the day that Mike Piazza hit the ball off the roof, and out of Dodger stadium. It was the hardest ball I have ever seen any player hit.
