Santana's unbeaten streak in his last 16 starts !

Johan Santana is 8-0 with a 2.26 ERA over his last 16 starts. (Mets are 12-4 in those 16 games.) This is the third time that Santana has gone unbeaten in at least 16 consecutive starts in the majors; he had two 20-start streaks for the Twins (July 2003-May 2004; July 2004-April 2005).

Only three other pitchers in major-league history had at least three streaks of 16-or-more consecutive starts without a loss: Roger Clemens (4), Preacher Roe (3) and Whitey Ford (3).
