Lost in the shuffle of the game last night was the Ron Santo's Jay Leno sidestory. According to Ron, Jay's people contacted Ron's people about Ron making an appearance on The Tonight Show, tonight. Ron declined. His purported reason was that the Cubs plane was scheduled to land between 2-3 hours before taping, so Ron would have to go directly from the plane to the taping.
