SATURDAY IN THE PARK, YOU’D THINK IT WAS THE FOURTH OF JULY

    I didn’t put up a post yesterday because to tell you the truth, I was tired and all I wanted to do was watch football and the monitor the Tigers and Twins. I checked in on the Mets-Astros and I am genuinely happy for Nelson Figueroa for his great performance yesterday. I hope he finds himself a job for next season but hopefully in won’t be with the Mets. Same for Pat Misch,  JJ Putz, Tim Redding, Ken Takahashi, Brain Schneider, Anderson Hernandez, Wilson Valdez, Jeremy Reed, Gary Sheffield, Cory Sullivan and Carlos Delgado to name a dozen. Also if Omar (he’s staying folks) could find a way to get rid of Luis Castillo and Ollie Perez that would go a long way to building some confidence with Mets fans.   If any team comes calling for a trade the only names that are off limits are Wright, Santana, and Rodriguez.
