The Starting Nine
1: Is anyone even remotely surprised that Oil Can Boyd was under the influence of something while pitching? That said, he was always a favorite of mine, for all his quirkiness on the mound and the way he cocked that right arm behind him like loading a gun. In this day of sterile, cookie cutter athletes, Oil Can would be a breath of fresh air.
2: Bill James believes that Dwight Evans should be in the Hall Of Fame. Another big favorite of mine growing up but I'm not so sure.
