Well, we always knew that, but today he and Pedro Alvarez have taken things to new heights. Scary heights for Pirates fans.--It's very complicated, but basically here's what happened today: Boras--who is unhappy with the lower-than-expected $6M signing bonus (it happened because Boras and Pirates couldn't do a deal, so Pedro stepped in and accepted the offer at the deadline) is trying to contend that Pedro did not, in fact, reach the agreement before midnight of the 15th.--That is garbage. Not only did the Commissioner's office state today that the deal WAS submitted in time, it also stated that another Boras client--Eric Hosmer of the Royals' draft--submitted his deal AFTER Alvarez's. So that would mean Hosmer has no deal (and Boras gets no money, hehe). That is a good thing.--It gets trickier, though.
